PREC ESS — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 4 August 2026

PREC ESS (“the App”) is the official employee self-service application of PKNS Real Estate Sdn Bhd (“PREC”, “we”, “us”), provided for the use of our employees. This policy explains what personal data the App processes, why, and your rights. We handle personal data in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

1. Who this App is for
PREC ESS is intended solely for PREC employees. You sign in with an employee account issued by PREC’s HR department.

2. Data we collect and process

  • Identity & contact: your name, work email, and employee identifier (to authenticate you and link your records).
  • Location: your device’s precise location only at the moment you clock in or out for attendance, to confirm you are within your designated workplace geofence. We do NOT track your location in the background or at any other time.
  • Attendance records: clock-in/out times and the associated location result.
  • HR information you access: payslip and salary details, leave balances and applications, expense claims, and related approvals.
  • Files you upload: expense receipts, medical certificates (for leave), and your profile photo.
  • Notifications: a device push token, so we can send you app notifications.
  • Basic device/usage data: limited technical information needed to operate and secure the App.

3. Why we process it (purposes)
Solely to operate the employee self-service functions above — attendance, leave, claims, payroll access, company announcements and approvals — and to administer the employment relationship. We do NOT use your data for advertising, and we do NOT sell or share it for marketing.

4. Legal basis
We process this data on the basis of your employment relationship with PREC and, where applicable, your consent, in line with the PDPA.

5. Disclosure
Your data is stored in PREC’s secured backend, operated on our behalf by our technology service provider acting as a data processor under contract. We disclose personal data only to authorised PREC personnel who need it for the purposes above, and to third parties only where required by law.

6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), stored in an access-controlled database, and each employee can access only their own records.

7. Retention
We retain records for as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet PREC’s HR and statutory obligations, after which they are securely deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to, or correction of, your personal data, and may make enquiries or complaints about how it is handled. Contact your IT department or [email protected] — PREC to confirm

9. Children
The App is for PREC employees and is not directed at children.

10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always available at this URL.
